Chelsea vs Everton (FA Cup final)
Chelsea throughly deserved this victory. Guss Hiddink ended the year with Chelsea with an important trophy. His future in Chelsea is however very unlikely to continue. He managed to revive the Blues from a bad first half of the year. It must be said that Chelsea were very unluckly to lose to Barcelona in semifinal of the Champions League. Everton had already done a lot to reach the final by beating Liverpool and Manchester United on the way.
Barcelona vs Manchester United (Champions League final)
Barcelona played superbly against this excellent Manchester team. Messi had an outstanding game. Ronaldo was not at his usual best but to be fair, the Barcelona defence handled most United threats with relative ease. Barcelona have done the treble by winning the domestic league and cup too. This Barcelona side will be long remembered not just for their triumps but also for the way they played the beautiful game. Manchester United had a historic year too, they equalled Liverpool's record 18 domestic titles.
